Cookie Policy
Effective 23 October 2026
Belna uses browser storage to keep the app working. This includes local and session storage and IndexedDB. Statistics and advertising cookies are optional: choose Accept all or Reject all in the cookie banner. Reject all keeps only the necessary ones.
The Belna apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android show no cookie banner: they use only the sign-in and app storage below, never statistics or advertising cookies, and they do not track you.
- Sign-in (lingon.session, local storage): holds the account session and refresh token so you remain signed in. It lasts until sign-out, expiry or clearing site data.
- App state (lingon.v1, local storage): keeps chats, settings, local workspace state and references needed to resume the app. It remains until removed in the app or browser.
- Provider preference (belna.lastProvider, local storage): remembers the last sign-in method for the sign-in screen. It remains until site data is cleared.
- Pending invite (belna.pendingGift, session storage): carries an invite code through sign-in and is cleared after use or when the browser session ends.
- Draft attachments (belna-composer-files, IndexedDB): temporarily keeps files selected for a draft on this device. Remove the draft or clear site data to remove them.
Your cookie choice
bl_consent (cookie, 6 months) remembers your statistics choice. bl_marketing (cookie, 6 months) separately remembers permission for Meta advertising measurement. An older statistics choice does not enable Meta. A copy of your choice and the date you made it (belna.consent, local storage) brings the choice back if the browser removes these cookies early, so you are not asked again; after 6 months you are asked again.
Statistics cookies (only if you accept)
They show which pages are used, for how long, where visitors come from and which version of a page they saw, so we can improve the site. We store no IP address; the country comes from the network’s country code. Statistics are only seen by Belna.
- bl_vid (cookie, 13 months): a random visitor id.
- bl_sid (cookie, 30 minutes): a random visit id.
- bl_src (cookie, 90 days): the source of your first visit, such as a search engine, an ad or a campaign link.
- bl_ab (cookie, 90 days): the version of a product page you saw, so you see the same one again.
Meta advertising measurement (only if you accept all)
With your separate permission, Meta Pixel (dataset 2346190056213796) measures visits to public marketing pages and completed paid purchases, including amount and currency. Meta receives browser and device information, the page address and advertising identifiers, and may set _fbp and _fbc cookies (normally up to 90 days) to attribute visits and purchases to ads. Meta may process this information outside the EU/EEA under its Privacy Policy. We do not enable automatic advanced matching or send chat content, files, passwords or account email addresses to the pixel. It is disabled in native Belna apps. Change your choice using the button above. Withdrawing consent stops future events and removes Meta cookies we can access. Duplicate-prevention markers (belna.metaPurchase.*) stay in local storage until you clear site data.
After a paid checkout with marketing consent, bl_meta_purchase carries a signed purchase receipt (pseudonymous event identifier, amount and currency) for up to 15 minutes. It is an HttpOnly cookie scoped to our receipt endpoint and is removed when the receipt is read. It lets a guest purchase be measured before account sign-in.
Clearing browser storage
You can clear these items in browser settings, although that may sign you out or remove local drafts. Google sign-in, Stripe checkout, connected apps and externally loaded fonts may use their own technologies under their policies. Clearing site data does not delete account records held on the server; see Privacy.
